Hannah's Christmas Dance Recital

Hannah had her Christmas Dance Recital today (12/20). She performed so well especially since she had been sick for the past 2 days and missed her rehearsal. What a beauty! Just so you know, Hannah starts in the middle with her back to us and then ends up in the back right corner.

Our first 'real' Christmas tree

At the request of Hannah, who really really wanted a real tree instead of an artificial one, we have put up our first real Christmas tree. We looked around our yard and Diana found a good tree to top and I cut it down.

Hannah's Presentation

Hannah is also part of the GEMS program at Marlboro Elementary. She had her presentation on ancient Egypt's alphabet. She did such a wonderful job. The class also mummified some chickens.

November Birthday's

We made it through our birthday week. Mary turned 3. Joel is now 9. Nathan turned 7. We had lots of fun and ate lots of cake in one week. Thanks for helping spoil each of them.

Joel's first presentation

Joel is part of the gifted program GEMS at Marlboro Elementary School. He had his first presentation on the lynx the other night and we couldn't be more proud of him. He did such a great job in his presentation and the skit.

Quail Hollow State Park

This past Sunday we went to Quail Hollow State Park to help a friend practice taking pictures. We had a blast for the most part. Mary was proving to be difficult at first but then really got into taking pictures. Here are just a few of the pictures. Enjoy.

Back to school 2009 edition

Here are Hannah, Joel and Nathan off to school for the first time this year the day after Labor Day. Hannah is in 5th grade, Joel in 3rd, and Nathan in 1st. Mary is still at home with Diana.

Soccer Fall 2009

Here are some recent soccer pictures of Nathan, Joel and Hannah. Joel and Hannah are on the same U10 league and are 3-0-1. Joel has scored a hat trick the last two games. Hannah scored one today but also hurt her ankle with a great stop. Nathan's team is undefeated in the U8 league. He is playing well. Today was difficult because they were not allowed to score for half the third quarter and all of the fourth quarter since their team was up by about six or seven goals.

Soccer

Joel and Nathan are now playing soccer. They both are doing a great job. This is Nathan's first time playing soccer. Joel is still the scoring machine. Even Nathan has scored. They have won every game except one in which they tied.
